Who you are agreeing with
These terms are between you and Estisnap, LLC, which makes Dents.co.
Installing or using the app means you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a shop
or a company, you are confirming you have the authority to do that.
What you may do with the app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Dents.co on devices
you own or control, for your own repair, appraisal or inspection work, including commercial
work. That is the point of the app.
The app, its measurement engine, its pricing model and its design remain ours.
Subscriptions, billing and cancellation
Dents.co Pro is sold through the App Store as a monthly or annual subscription, in a
single subscription group. The current price is shown in the app and on the App Store before
you subscribe.
- A subscription renews automatically under Apple's renewal terms until you cancel it.
- Cancel or switch between monthly and annual in your Apple Account subscription
settings, not in the app. We cannot cancel it for you.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policy. We can ask on your behalf, but the
decision is theirs.
- Cancelling stops the renewal. Pro stays on until the period you already paid for runs
out, then the free tier limits apply again. Your dents and repair orders stay where
they are.
Prices can change. If they do, the change applies to renewals after we have given notice,
never retroactively.
The free tier
Measurement is never crippled to sell you a subscription, because accuracy is the whole
argument for the product. What the free tier limits is professional volume and shop
identity: five dent scans a month, one repair order at a time, and estimate PDFs that carry
a generic Dents.co header and watermark instead of your shop's.
Measurements and prices are estimates
This is the clause that matters most in a dispute. Read it even if you skip the rest.
Dents.co measures the geometry of a panel and applies a pricing formula that
you configure. It produces an estimate. It does not produce a guarantee, a binding
quote, an insurance determination or a professional appraisal.
- Every measurement carries a confidence rating built from shot distance, angle, LiDAR
coverage and noise. A Low rating is the app telling you not to rely on
that number. Re-shoot it.
- The price follows from your labor rate and your coefficients. Change them and the
number changes. It reflects your judgment, not ours.
- Whether a dent is actually repairable by PDR, and what it truly costs to fix, remains a
professional decision that only you can make on the vehicle.
You are responsible for what you quote, bill and sign.
Your work is yours
Your scans, measurements, repair orders, customer records and estimate PDFs belong to you.
We claim no ownership of them.
The app keeps your work on your device. In the background, when you have a connection, it
also sends a backup copy of your scans, measurements and repair orders to our servers.
Customer names are removed before anything is sent, and estimate PDFs are not included.
You give us permission to store that copy, review it, and use it to improve the
measurement engine, the pricing model and the app. We use it for nothing else. Our
Privacy Notice explains what the backup contains and who can see
it.
You are responsible for having the right to scan a vehicle and to hold whatever customer
information you type into a repair order, including any consent your local law requires.
Acceptable use
Do not reverse engineer, decompile or extract the measurement engine. Do not resell access
to the app or run it as a service for third parties, which is what DentsKit is for. Do not
present a Dents.co measurement as something it is not, such as a certified inspection or a
finding by us. Do not use it to defraud a customer or an insurer.
DentsKit and fleet licensing
Embedding the measurement engine in your own product is a separate commercial licence and
is not covered by these terms. Write to
beta@dents.co to start that conversation.
Availability and changes
The app runs on your device, so it keeps working offline and keeps working if our website
does not. We may still change features, add them or retire them. If a change removes
something you are paying for, you can cancel and Apple's refund policy applies.
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied
warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do
not warrant that measurements will be accurate in every condition, that the app will be
uninterrupted or error free, or that it will meet a particular commercial need.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special
or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost business or the cost of a repair quoted
from a measurement.
Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these terms or the
app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Dents.co in the twelve months
before the claim arose, or $100.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict
of law rules.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the app will be brought only in
the state courts located in Gregg County, Texas, or in the United States District Court for
the Eastern District of Texas, Tyler Division. You and we each consent to the personal
jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes when we do, and
material changes appear in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after that
means you accept the new version.
